Godot

Godot is FOSS. It is, more importantly, also known for being a game engine with very few restrictions on what you can and cannot do with it. Godot can be used for the creation of 2D, 3D, and even VR games for MacOS, Linux, Windows and mobile platforms all in one. Its main scripting languages are their own in house GDScript, similar to python, and C#.
